The Mesas
As you rise above the stream with the New England style stone bridge, you will notice to the East, a promontory that looks over the valley below as well as the peak of phase one. In the distance to the West, is the Pacific Ocean. This area is known as The Mesas, named after the Mesa Verde National Park in the United States as they too, are built into the hillside. Here, five lots look over the valley with some having majestic views of San Juan Bay in the distance. They range in size from just under a third of an acre to over a third acre. Below, to the south, is the seasonal river that runs six months a year.
There are four lots of which two have already been sold. We will provide water to the property line and is intended to be a solar community. We will grant each buyer a $5,000 credit towards the installation of a solar package. While we intend to have a micro solar grid from Los Suenos that will extend to this area, the timeline is indeterminate and each owner at that time will have the option of integrating itself into the grid or remaining 100% independent.
There is not a time period in which one must build, but our hope is that within five years, there will be the beginnings of a community. The first two purchasers have committed to starting construction by then.
The Cascadas
Across from the Mesas, are six lots which offer owners a completely different style of living. These lots range from 1.1 acres to more than 1.6 acres. The intention is to allow those who want more than a "lot", the opportunity to own land where they can create their own mini ranch or farm. If you want horses, we have a corral nearby where they can be looked after. We even have room for a cow or two that will complement our "herd" of 13 vacas that live here at El Encanto.
Most of these "ranchitas" have views of the Pacific, some filtered between beautiful hardwood trees. We have intentionally left many trees, both large and small on the land to allow you to determine your own vision. In the case of valuable trees, first growth trees, we must consider their value as part of the ecological landscape. You must walk these lots through the trees and low level vegetation to really get a feel of what it would be like to have your own private place. And the 40 foot waterfall, after which this area is named, is only a hundred meters or so from the lots boundary. Let's take a look!
These, too, will be part of the solar community that is perfect for the area, and a credit will be given to the purchaser of each plot of land. Again, we anticipate that they, optionally, may be tied into the micro grid, that will extend from Los Suenos. As we stated before, there is not a specific timetable for that grid; it will depend on sales, but the solar plan for each lot is an excellent and sustainable opportunity.
Welcome to The Mesas and The Cascada, the newest additions to El Encanto del Sur. We strive to offer a wide variety of locations here, and hope you will find one that meets your personal objectives.
