The El Encanto team brings a wealth of experience to bear in real estate and land development, with particular expertise in the Nicaraguan market. More than the sum of it its parts, the team has a singular focus on building a truly special place in the sun.
This place will not be the next Cancun or Costa del Sol - our vision is much different than that. We envision a place where you may not be able to see your neighbors, but you know them. Where you can rest in seclusion, or step out to socialize. Where the homes are not trophies, but testaments to taste delightfully and delicately set within the natural nooks of the land. The community we see is a part of the larger communities of San Juan del Sur and Nicaragua, and enjoys all the things they have to offer while contributing some things they do not have.

FRED GOLDFARB – CO-FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR
Mr. Goldfarb is the President and founder of Red House Resources, a real estate investment and consulting firm in the U.S. For ten years prior, he was President of Advanced Building Systems, which provided marketing/ business management to general contractors (Kaufman & Broad, Shea Homes, Centex, Ponderosa Homes) in the San Francisco Bay Area. Currently, Mr. Goldfarb owns four other properties in the San Juan. Fred is now involved full time in managing the development of El Encanto.
DHRUV GULATI – CO-FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR
Currently, Mr. Gulati is the Executive Vice President of Lilien Systems, an Information Technology company based in Larkspur, California, where he had been instrumental in growing the company’s revenues from $500,000 in 1991 to over $30MM in 2006. At El Encanto, he is involved in daily operational management with a special focus on finance and marketing
GRUPO MAX (formerly Costa Azul) – WILLIAM PATTISON, PRINCIPAL
Our Project Manager for all facets of improvements on the property; site preparation, road construction, electrical and water utilities as well as coordination of all topographic surveys. Grupo Max Construction is one of the premier residential builders in the greater San Juan del Sur area. Using the skills of over 150 local craftsmen, Grupo Max has built homes and residencies in most high end communities. They are part of the pre-selected building group who will work with you at a discounted rate to build the home of your dreams.
JSR ARCHITECTS & ASSOCIATES – JOSE E. SANCHEZ REYES, PRINCIPAL
Our master planning architectural firm, focused on creating a community with multiple distinct personalities within the boundaries of El Encanto. After graduating from the Pratt Institute in New York, Mr. Reyes spent 7 years working on projects in Manhattan, Shanghai and along the eastern seaboard capacity as an architect, designer and master planner. In 2006 he returned to Managua to develop a robust practice, focusing on architecture and master planning for commercial and residential projects.
MANUEL CÁRCAMO GUTIÉRREZ & ASSOCIATES
Our master planning architectural firm, focused on creating a community with multiple distinct personalities within the boundaries of El Encanto. The Founder, Jose Reyes, after graduating from the Pratt Institute in New York, spent 7 years working on projects in Manhattan, Shanghai and along the eastern seaboard, capacity as an architect, designer and master planner. In 2006 he returned to Managua and has developed a robust local office. They do both commercial and residential design, both as the architect as well as the master planner.

Our Nicaraguan legal counsel, Dr. Carcamo and his firm, specialize in real estate and contract law, and currently represent some of the largest developers in the San Juan del Sur area. They have 40 years experience working with land transactions in the department of Rivas, in which San Juan is located. As San Juan has grown, they have grown in scale and now offer full services to assist us, as well as our clients, in all development contractual matters, title insurance and regional tax and environmental policies.
